This brand is from United States Stove Company and the heaters can be purchased through home improvement stores such as The Home Depot, Lowes, and Menards as well as their Amazon Store but their guarantee is not as good as other brands. The DVAG models are wall hung heaters that are direct vented and do not need electricity for operation. They are available in three sizes but do not have a fan to circulate the heat throughout the room and they have a pilot assembly with a piezo igniter which wastes energy and requires manually lighting the pilot. They have a durable stainless steel burner and concentric venting which only requires one hole through the wall.

BLUEGRASS LIVING

★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

These furnaces are made in the USA and they can be purchased directly through their website as well as on Amazon but their guarantee is not as good as other brands. They offer vent free units that can be floor standing or wall hung and they are available in three sizes. They have a thermostatically controlled blower to distribute the heat into the room more effectively and they have an oxygen depletion sensor that will shut the unit off if the oxygen levels in the room get to low. This can happen if there is not enough air being brought in through a window that is cracked open to replace the air that is being used for combustion.

COZY

★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆

These furnaces are made in the USA by Louisville Tin & Stove Company but the heaters are only available through a limited dealer network and the guarantee on parts other than the heat exchanger is not as good as some brands. The HEDV models are available in two sizes (25,000 or 40,000 BTU) and they have an 80% AFUE combustion efficiency. They have a blower for distributing the heat throughout the room and use a concentric vent so that only one hole is required through the wall. They have concentric vents so that only one hole is required through the wall but they use tubular aluminized steel heat exchangers which are not as durable as brands that use stainless steel. The DV models must be installed on an exterior wall while the FAW models can be installed on any wall of the home. They are vented furnaces and offer both standing pilot systems or electronic ignition but the standing pilot units are not recommended. They are counterflow furnaces with a blower that distributes the heated air at floor level which is better for mixing the air throughout the room as warm air rises.
